This evening came around, and I realized I hadn’t taken a picture.
So out came my photo backpack into the living room. I didn’t know what I was going to shoot, but I was going to find something.
I pulled out my camera, switched lenses, and when I looked up Finn was already all cuddled up to my bag. I stopped to look at him, and realized just how big both him and Colt are. They turn one in just a couple of weeks, and they aren’t kittens anymore (although they still act like it sometimes, ha!). I thought back to when both Colt and Finn could fit on my lap, and when I’d head out to the barn and all three of us would nap together (yes, I did nap in the barn – it’s one of my favorite napping spots!). Sweet little six-week-old kittens turned big ten pound lovers.
Not revolutionary, but a normal moment in the Whiskey Hotel. It’s these little moments that make me stop and smile, so I thought I could share this one with you.
