I am not a crowd person.
I think we’ve talked about this before, but just to reiterate: I am not a crowd person. True to introvert nature, social situations tire me out, and crowds seem to amplify that for me.
So what does one do when they don’t like crowds and they are at MSP airport where an extra 70,000+ people are expected to be today?
Go alllllll the way down to concourse A and find an empty gate to hang out at.
Actually, it was perfect because I got a window seat and watched all of the planes (most of them actually SkyWest) tootle around.
My mother in law was my champion this weekend and both dropped me off on Saturday and picked me up today.
In hopes of a quieter pickup, I told her I’d take the train back to Terminal 2 and that she could pick me up there.
Well, on the way to the train (in what seems to be the belly of the airport), it was dead quiet. This is actually one of my favorite areas of the airport because of the art.
These escalators are usually bustling, but today it was just me.
