When your day starts out like this, it’s a good day.
We drove Grandma up to the main office this morning, and while we were waiting for her to finish her business, this Osprey flew over the car with a fish in his grip. I rushed for my camera, and was over the moon excited when he circled back to perch in the tree above us and enjoy his catch.
This quick trip down here has not been for the lack of wildlife. On the golf course later we came across a blue heron perched in a tree, and at our hotel tonight on our way to the hot tub, we turned a corner and came face to face with a raccoon wandering our hotel’s outdoor hallways. Paul and I had a good laugh over the raccoon – as surprising as it was, it was a comical way to end our trip. The best part? Paul called down to the front desk to let them know about the raccoon and that doors going into the building were open so he could potentially wander in, and the lady who answered the phone was completely unphased. Maybe he had a room rented?
